Adam Kozlewski has been playing guitar for the last 22 years. Brought up in Montana, Kozlewski began by teaching himself to play. He was also guided by his stepfather, singer/songwriter/guitarist, Paul “Dr. Mongo” Garrison.
Kozlewski started by playing rock, later adding blues, folk and jazz to his repertoire. Kozlewski draws his influence from guitarists ranging from electric bluesman, Stevie Ray Vaughan, to jazz virtuoso, Emily Remler, along with his stepfather, Garrison.
Adam has been a private guitar instructor for about a decade, and has taught at Music Village for the last five years. He teaches six-string and bass to students ranging from beginning to advanced, in all musical styles.
Adam studied guitar performance at Utah State University for a year before moving to the Ogden area. He is now a senior in the music education program at Weber State University, with an emphasis on guitar.
Kozlewski also performs both solo and duo gigs at various venues along the Wasatch Front. He has perfomed with the WSU big band and jazz combos under Dr. Don Keipp, and the WSU classical guitar ensembles under Todd Woodbury, for the past five years.
“Beyond my undergraduate college studies, I’m continually searching for innovative teaching techniques,” said Kozlewski. He is a certified Orff Shulwerk Music Specialist and is planning to also become a certified Suzuki method instructor.
Adam's lesson rate is $82 per month
